On 10 December every year, Slow Food communities throughout the world celebrate Terra Madre Day: Slow Food’s anniversary and our annual day to celebrate local food, sustainability and the diversity of food traditions on a global scale.

This year we are celebrating Terra Madre Day with a special dinner event at the newly opened Bowden eatery, My Grandma Ben. With a strong focus on ethical food production, sustainable business practices and reducing food waste, My Grandma Ben are shaking things up on the Adelaide food scene with an ever-changing menu packed full of pickles, ferments and preserves.

The menu for our Terra Madre Day dinner will feature sustainable proteins such as local seafood from Coorong Wild Seafood and ethically sourced kangaroo alongside an array of seasonal vegetable focused dishes.
