Kane Pollard

The principles of the Slow Food movement are at the heart of Kane’s approach to food. Growing up in the Adelaide Hills created a lasting impression and love of the land, setting Kane on a path which firmly aligns with Slow Food’s core values of protecting biodiversity and supporting the production of ‘good, clean, and fair’ food.

We are truly excited Kane will be involved in planning events and future projects with our committee. Kane’s a strong advocate for sustainability and keen to share his knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage future generations.

“Work closely with those around you, move with the seasons, make what you can from scratch and waste nothing.” — Kane Pollard

Mark your diaries with a ‘save the date’ for 3rd September 2022 for Slow Food’s ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ — a foraging walk with Kane followed by dinner at his family’s seasonal restaurant, Topiary Dining, located in the leafy foothills of Tea Tree Gully on the grounds of Newmans Nursery.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Slow Food South Australia and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
